Malham Bunk Barn
Bunk-style self catering accommodation in Malham the heart of the Yorkshire Dales
Hill Top Farm Barn adjoins an early seventeenth century farmhouse in the village of Malham. Although on the edge of this popular village, the barn itself is peaceful and quiet. The famous Malham Cove (¼ mile), Gordale Scar (1½ miles) and Malham Tarn (2½ miles) are all linked by the area's comprehensive network of footpaths - including the Pennine Way, just 200 yards from Hill Top Farm Barn.
Formerly used for hay storage and the winter housing of cattle, the barn was converted early in 1986. It can now sleep up to 32 in 6 different sized bedrooms (11-8-6-3-2-2) on the ground floor. (Please bring sleeping bag). Also on the ground floor is a large drying room, showers, washbasins and toilets with disabled access.
On the first floor is the spacious dining and recreation room with magnificent views over Malhamdale and a newly refurbished and well equipped kitchen with microwave, electric cooker, fridge, etc. There is central heating with radiators in all rooms.
The Malham area is a paradise for walkers and climbers. The classic limestone scenery means that this is an ideal base for those with geological and botanical interests. Hill Top Farm Barn is only 2 minutes walk from the National Park Information Centre, cafes, gift shops and two village pubs.
