Getting to Malham

 By Car |
 Malham is about 21 miles from the end of the M65, which terminates in Colne. The map at the bottom of this page shows
the local roads and villages around
Malham. Please note that all the roads between Gargrave and
Malham are narrow country lanes, many of which have passing
places for traffic coming the other way. The
main (pay) car park in Malham is the Yorkshire Dales National Park Centre, on your
left as you come into the village from the south. On busy weekends the field on the right as you drive into the village is also available for (pay) parking. You can't miss them.

| By Train |
| The nearest train station is Gargrave, which is about 7 miles away, although there are more frequent services to Skipton, around 11 miles away, services from Leeds & Bradford. Or Settle station on the fantastic scenic Settle to Carlisle line. Follow the Railtrack link for

| By Bus |
Local buses run to Malham from Skipton via Gargrave. on Mondays to Saturdays. On Saturdays there are four return journeys running to Malham from Skipton Bus and Rail Stations. On Mondays to Fridays there is a less frequent service from Skipton Bus Station only.
On Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays throughout the summer (from 22nd March to 28th September 2008, and also on 25th & 26th October and 1st & 2nd November 2008) the Malham Tarn Shuttle Bus runs between Malham, Malham Tarn and Settle, with one journey running through from Ilkley and Skipton (with connections from Leeds). On Summer Sundays and Bank Holidays until 14th September, the Dales Experience Bus service 814 runs from Bradford and Skipton to Malham, via Gargrave.
