The popular Malham Peregrine Project viewpoint is reopening this year after a break of a few years, offering free, guided opportunities to watch peregrine falcons at Malham Cove in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Run in partnership by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and the RSPB, the project , now in its 21st year, helps people catch sight of the fascinating birds of prey while ensuring at the same time that visitors don’t cause any disturbance during the sensitive breeding season.
Mark Corner, Member Champion for the Natural Environment at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, said: “The Malham Peregrine Project has become a well established opportunity for us to engage with the public and show them how important it is to protect such an enigmatic species. After temporary closures in recent years, the 2026 season marks the 21st year of the project, with continued support from our friends at the RSPB.
The viewpoint will be open on the following weekends, May 8/9; June 5/6; June 19/20, and July 10/11.
